The Microsoft DirectX Diagnostic Tool provides information about the DirectX API components and drivers on your system. The information from your DxDiag report is an important diagnostic help for our technical department.
How to get your DxDiag report:
If you use
Windows XP
:
1) Press your Windows 'Start' button normally found at the bottom left hand corner of the screen.
2) Select the 'Run' option in the menu.
3) Type in 'dxdiag' in the box and press 'OK'
4) Select the 'Save All Information'. (Sometimes, you will be asked if you wish to check if the drivers are "digitally signed". Should this message appear, choose 'Yes'.)
5) Save the file to a place on your machine where you can easily locate it again.
6) Attach the file to your ticket.
If you use
Windows Vista
:
1) Press on the 'Windows Vista' button normally found at the bottom left hand corner of the screen
2) Select 'Start Search'
3) Type 'dxdiag' in the box and press the return/enter button on your key board.
4) Select the 'Save All Information'. (Sometimes, you will be asked if you wish to check if the drivers are "digitally signed". Should this message appear, choose 'Yes'.)
5) Save the file to a place on your machine where you can easily locate it again.
6) Attach the file to your ticket.
